The teeth of this gasket are cut in the same shape as those of general serrated metal gaskets. However, the heights of the teeth are uniform, while the depths of the teeth differ in a bilaterally symmetric pattern. The teeth were cut to different depths so that the line that connects their upper tips forms a convex curve, as a certain radius is applied according to the width. The product in this shape has a stronger sealing effect, as the covering layer more tightly fills the gaps between the teeth in the center (where the surface pressure is the highest), so there is a stronger sealing effect with less bolt load than that of the general serrated metal gaskets.
